The same beloved Yellow Buckwheat, with the addition of pesticides-free natural rose petals. An upgraded version with a more complex aromatic profile of our best-selling product two years in a row. Limited trial supply is available at the moment.
Buckwheat tea (in Japanese: Soba cha) has already become a hit and is now common all over the Asia and considered a superfood with nutritional values and health benefits. Buckwheat tea caffeine-free, therefor suitable for drinking around the clock, including the eveningtime or before bed. Its taste is incredibly rich and sweet and it has a full body.
It isn't the same plant variety of buckwheat intended for cooking, and different botanically (Fagopyrum tataricum). Our buckwheat grows in the De Liang Mountains in southern Sichuan, mountains that rise to an altitude of over 2000 meters and a unique climate of 14-17°C all year round. The growing environment is totally natural and no pesticides has been used (uncertified organic tea).
The buckwheat seeds are harvested once a year during the summer by members of the minority group known as Yi Zu (彝族), and designated to be infused as herbal tea. Thanks to technology and only natural processing procedures, the seeds reaches a level of finish designed for hot or cold infusion, and manages to maintain a rich and balanced range of flavors, while maintaining the health benefits of the plant.
Unlike Whole Grain Buckwheat (sobacha), the Yellow Buckwheat is a natural extract of the seed's nucleus that contains a high concentration of nutritional values.
This product was tested Pesticide-Free (uncertified organic) on our behalf in Eurofins lab in Taiwan.
