A full-size compressed white tea cake (357 grams), grown in Mengku town of west Yunnan province, near the border with Myanmar. Tender tea leaves harvested in early spring following Bai Mu Dan picking standard of "one bud one leaf". Tea has undergone natural drying and controlled slow fermentation.
A young tea of medium body, minty refreshing grassy notes and thick honey finish, which has begun to reach maturity but will continue to improve with age, for reacher and more balanced flavors and long sweet huigan (aftertaste).
A daily tea suitable for drinking at all hours of the day, all year long. A Yunnan version of Fujian's Bai Mu Dan (White Peony), featuring a bolder body with wood tendency.
This tea has been aging beautifully with us for over five years, reaching an impressive depth and maturity. Only a few tongs left.
